Born and raised in southern California, Dr. Duane Dyson moved to the Bay Area to attend college at U.C. Berkeley. After graduating with a degree in Molecular & Cell Biology, with an emphasis in Cell & Developmental Biology, followed by a medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine, Dr. Duane Dyson and his affianced, now Dr. Senait Dyson, moved to Cleveland, Ohio, for their residencies.
His affinity for newborns derived from his years working in the NICU at Children’s Hospital at MetroHealth; where he completed his pediatric residency. In addition to the year of working in a pediatric rehabilitation facility in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Dyson spent a year managing a high-risk nursery in Houston, TX.
Armed with the experience of managing acute and chronic patients, Dr. Dyson moved into the clinic setting in San Juan Capistrano, California. Four years later and after acquiring a wealth of knowledge growing a small pediatric practice, the Dyson family relocated to Tucson, Arizona, in January 2009.
Remembering the importance of volunteerism and assisting in corrective eye surgeries in Tijuana, Mexico, in 1991, Dr. Dyson led a team of providers to Tanzania in January 2010 and held six clinics. These experiences have fostered his commitment to being hands-on and accessible by his patients. He strives to be one of the three most trusted professionals that his patients encounter in their lifetime.
Given his travels, training, and experience raising three children with his wife, Dr. Senait Dyson, Dr. Duane Dyson cherishes his role as a resource in our Tucson community. He has been nominated each year by his peers as one of the Top Docs in Tucson, Arizona, since 2014. Dr. Dyson served in the capacity of vice president and on the board of Tu Nidito from 2010-2016. He serves as the National Health and Wellness Chair of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and as the Area Director for Arizona.
